Our client, who has a family-owned business, renowned for its wild blueberries, is looking for a Plant Manager for their Canada location, which is in Prince Edward Island. who will be responsible for providing leadership and direction over the daily operations of the facility to ensure the required business objectives are met in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day management of plant operations for Production.
- Identify improvement opportunities and work closely with all levels of management to implement these changes.
- Provide Plant-level financial management, i.e., Budget, purchasing, inventory, capital expenditures, etc.
- Coordinate plant activities with departmental managers to ensure that manufacturing objectives are accomplished in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or technical Certificate in a related field preferred
- A minimum of five years in a food processing/manufacturing plant environment is required
- Excellent decision-making skills, a positive attitude, time management skills, communication, and analytical skills.
