The Opportunity
We are changing the way people buy and service cars one dealership at a time. In business for over 30 years, PBS is the third largest DMS (Dealership Management System) provider to the North American retail automotive industry. Each month we welcome hundreds of new users to our software platform, and we need your help.
We are unique in the industry because we view our customers as business partners, technology innovators, and friends. Our software can run all aspects of an automotive dealership with sales, service, inventory management, and accounting modules.
The Role
PBS is looking to hire a temporary Accounts Payable Clerk. This 18 month contract role is responsible for working closely with the Business line to ensure that Credit Card payments and employee expenses are appropriately and timely captured and accounted for in our financial statements. The ideal candidate will be highly analytical with excellent excel skills, be able to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and show strong leadership skills.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Timely and accurately reconcile credit cards and issuing payment
- Ensuring adequate approvals are in place
- Booking Journal entries and data entry – primarily of invoices
- Communication with vendors and Business Line as needed
- Ad-hoc reporting
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- 2 years of previous accounts payable experience preferred, however a combination of education and experience may be considered
- Post secondary Accounting education preferred; open to new graduates looking to grow within the company
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience with various accounting software
Work Conditions/Environment
- Full time, salary position, Calgary based.
- 18 months contract – Leave replacement.
- This is not a remote or hybrid position.
