The Role

PBS is looking to hire a Building & Office Services Assistant to join the administration team assisting with their day-to-day tasks and projects. The Building & Office Services Assistant will be involved in building and facilities administration as well as with purchasing office supplies, shipping and receiving.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Ensuring the building is well kept, clean and safe
  • Assisting with all maintenance inspections
  • Assisting with seasonal maintenance
  • Scheduling repairs/maintenance as needed
  • Managing small repairs as appropriate
  • Communication with onsite cleaners on a regular basis
  • Reviewing stock levels and coordinating orders of new stock of office supplies and toners, desk and chair parts with Building & Office Coordinator
  • Regular building checks
  • Liaison between contractors/suppliers and PBS for building maintenance items
  • Front desk responsibilities (greeting guests, making the front desk a welcoming place for new hires and guests alike, signing for packages, opening & distributing mail, coding cheques)
  • Works with multiple software programs as needed for building security, purchasing office supplies, & customer information
  • Shipping requests as needed
  • Assist with managing corporate condos, gym and secondary Location (Tech Centre) as needed

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of previous building administrative experience preferred
  • Shipping and receiving experience an asset
  • Solid computer knowledge Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced team environment
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Problem solver, positive attitude, initiative
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Available to work after hours on occasion
  • Confidentiality/discretion
  • High School Diploma

Work Conditions/Environment

  • Full time, salary position, Calgary based.
  • This is not a remote or hybrid position.
  • This role will requieres extended periods of standing and/or sitting at a desk as well as walking around the office.
  • Lifting to a heavy level (up to 50 lbs/23 kgs on an occasional basis and up to 20 lbs/9kgs on a frequent basis.
