Full-Time Temporary Elementary/Phys. Ed Teacher
at E.E. Oliver Elementary School
E.E. Oliver Elementary School is a K-6 school located in the town of Fairview 560 kms northwest of Edmonton and 100 Km north of Grande Prairie. The school provides a comprehensive educational program for its students.
One Full-Time (1.00 f.t.e.) Temporary Elementary Teacher is required commencing August 28, 2024 and continuing until June 27, 2025. The successful candidate will be teaching elementary level subjects with 0.30 f.t.e. Phys. Ed. component.
Qualifications
Experience and/or training working with elementary children
Experience and/or training in balanced literacy
Understanding of Response to Intervention approach to learning
Thorough understanding and working knowledge of Guided Reading
Thorough understanding and working knowledge of Running Records
Strong classroom management and organization skills
Experience and/or training with managing IEP’s and individual programming
Exceptional communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Training in Guided Reading is considered an asset.
Requirements
Must hold or be eligible for a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate
Provide an acceptable current Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check

Annual Salary Range
$ 62, 702 to $ 105, 996 (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the Alberta Teachers’ Association and the Peace River School Division).
