We seek a teacher who is truly committed to on-going professional development and is adept at supporting all staff in their own professional growth. Qualifications
Bachelor of Education degree
Current Alberta Teachers Certificate
Experience and/or graduate work in Literacy or Assessment would be considered an asset
You aspire for excellence in all competencies of the Teaching Quality Standard
You are committed to a research-driven professional practice and are able to work as part of a collaborative team
Responsibilities
Guide quality assessment practices to enhance student learning
Facilitate literacy intervention programs
Facilitate the ongoing use of diagnostic benchmark assessments
Plan, organize and conduct teacher training, conferences, or workshops
Mentor/coach teachers to support skill development
Introduce new forms of research-based pedagogy
Analyze school and district data
Review and suggest educational resources
