Job Overview:

As a Window Patch Machine Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining window patching machinery used in the production of packaging materials, such as cartons and boxes. Your primary goal is to ensure the efficient and accurate application of transparent windows onto packaging, meeting quality standards and production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

Machine Operation:

• Set up and operate window patching machinery according to production specifications.
• Monitor machine performance, making adjustments as needed to maintain optimal efficiency and quality.
• Load raw materials, such as packaging substrates and window film, into the machine.

Quality Control:

• Inspect finished products to ensure the accurate placement and quality of window patches.
• Perform routine quality checks during production runs to identify and address any deviations from standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to window patching, making adjustments or seeking assistance when necessary.

Maintenance:

• Conduct regular maintenance tasks on the window patching machine to ensure its proper functioning.
• Perform minor repairs and adjustments, escalating more significant issues to maintenance personnel.
• Keep the work area clean and organized to facilitate efficient operations.

Documentation:

• Maintain accurate production records, including machine settings, downtime, and quality control measures.
• Communicate any issues or abnormalities to supervisors and document actions taken to address them.

Safety Compliance:

• Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in machine operation is a plus.
• Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably with window patching machinery or similar equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret production orders and technical documents.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and perform basic maintenance tasks.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with various types of packaging materials and their characteristics.
• Knowledge of quality control processes and techniques.
• Basic understanding of safety protocols in an industrial setting.

Work Environment:

The role involves working in a manufacturing environment, often with noise and machinery operation. Personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
