Overview:
For over 25 years, Pegasus has been providing meaningful and enriching activities to adults with developmental disabilities. You’ll be joining an organization focused on ethics and inclusion, in a supportive and energetic environment.
Pegasus provides diverse daily activities as well as unique programs, such as a yearly film festival, fashion show, sporting events, and various community partnerships. You’ll be part of a team of dedicated office staff, and directly supporting our Creative Director in these unique events.
You’ll work with a passionate team of staff to help manage our store’s online and social media presence. You’ll be encouraged to develop a marketing campaign to increase our store’s sales, and you’ll get to learn the ins and outs of charity and non-profit marketing and social media management!
While the role is focused on marketing and social media, some administrative duties may be assigned as-needed. College/University students/recent grads are encouraged to apply!
Candidates who can come into the office at least 2-3 days a week are preferred, but some remote work is available.
This role is through Canada Summer jobs and will last 10 weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Tasks and Responsibilities ·
- Engage the local and wider community through Pegasus Community Project’s established social media channels
- Assist the Store Manager in developing and refining aspects of The Pegasus Shoppe’s online store and web presence
- Support the design and implementation of a marketing campaign to support The Pegasus Shoppe’s online store, utilizing social media and other digital channels
- Collect data on the strategies that are being implemented to determine their effectiveness
- Provide support to the office an administrative team through organizational tasks such as filing and organizing
- Provide support to the store as-needed
Qualifications: –
- Familiarity and aptitude with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
- Familiarity with Online stores like Etsy, Depop or Vinted
- Familiarity with Canva is a plus
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and email
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organizational and time management skills
- Able to work independently and within a team
Location & Hours:
- Our office is located at 931 Kingston Road and is transit-accessible.
- Office Hours are 9am to 5pm; 30 hours per week is required, and it will be preferred for you to work consistent hours. A shift schedule will be developed with you, based on office needs and availability.
