The Position
Title: Accountant
Location: Montreal – Downtown
Type: Permanent – Full Time
Pembroke Management is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our wealth management firm. As an accountant, you will be an integral part of our professional services team, responsible for providing accurate financial data and support to ensure smooth operations and exceptional client service.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Assist in maintaining and reconciling financial records for clients, including investment portfolios.
• Handle basic bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, recording transactions, and reconciling cash and positions for Funds and institutional accounts.
• Collaborate with senior members of the team to prepare and review financial reports
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings for our funds, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant laws and regulations.
• Assist in coordinating audits and financial reviews, providing necessary documentation and answering auditor queries.
• Prepare monthly reports and quarterly invoices for various clients.
• Oversee the outsourcing of certain tasks and ensure proper reconciliation with our internal records.
• Offer support and act as a back-up to our back-office Operations team.
• Report to the Director of Finance
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate will possess the following attributes, skills, and experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite. Preference will be given to candidates possessing a strong working knowledge of Sage AccPac, Salesforce, SAP Concur, and/or SS&C Global Wealth Platform (GWP). Familiarity with these platforms will be viewed as a significant asset, enhancing the candidate’s ability to integrate quickly and contribute effectively to our team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal in both English and French, to effectively interact with clients and team members.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• High level of integrity and discretion when handling sensitive financial information.
• A proactive and adaptable mindset to take on new challenges and continuously improve.
• Experience working in the finance or investment industry is a plus.

Pembroke Management est à la recherche d’un(e) comptable très motivé(e) et soucieux(se) du détail pour rejoindre notre société de gestion de patrimoine. En tant que comptable, vous ferez partie intégrante de notre équipe de services professionnels et serez chargé(e) de fournir des données financières précises et d’apporter votre soutien pour assurer le bon déroulement des opérations et un service à la clientèle exceptionnel.
Responsabilités
Le candidat retenu sera responsable des tâches suivantes :
• Participer à la tenue et au rapprochement des dossiers financiers des clients, y compris des portefeuilles d’investissement.
• Effectuer des tâches comptables de base, y compris la saisie des données, l’enregistrement des transactions et le rapprochement des liquidités et des positions pour les fonds et les comptes institutionnels.
• Collaborer avec les membres seniors de l’équipe pour préparer et réviser les rapports financiers.
• Participer à la préparation des états financiers et des déclarations réglementaires pour nos fonds, en veillant à l’exactitude et au respect des lois et réglementations en vigueur.
• Aider à coordonner les audits et les examens financiers, en fournissant la documentation nécessaire et en répondant aux questions des auditeurs.
• Préparer les rapports mensuels et les factures trimestrielles pour divers clients.
• Superviser l’externalisation de certaines tâches et veiller à ce qu’elles soient correctement rapprochées de nos dossiers internes.
• Offrir un soutien à l’équipe chargée des opérations de back-office et lui servir d’appui.
• Rendre compte au directeur des finances.
Compétences et expérience
Le candidat retenu devra posséder les attributs, les compétences et l’expérience suivants :
• Baccalauréat en comptabilité, en finance ou dans un domaine connexe.
• Solides compétences en matière d’analyse et de résolution de problèmes, avec une attention particulière au détail.
• Maîtrise de la suite Microsoft Office. La préférence sera donnée aux candidats possédant une solide connaissance pratique de Sage AccPac, Salesforce, SAP Concur et/ou SS&C Global Wealth Platform (GWP). La familiarité avec ces plateformes sera considérée comme un atout important, améliorant la capacité du candidat à s’intégrer rapidement et à contribuer efficacement à notre équipe.
