What You Will Be Doing:
Complete routine automotive repairs, maintenance, and diagnostics (Ex: oil changes, tires, brakes, suspension, exhaust and general shop maintenance)
Troubleshoot and test systems/components
Identify issues that might have caused the initial maintenance problem
Maintain efficiency and accuracy when diagnosing and repairing vehicles
Adjust, repair, or replace worn parts
Follow a step-by-step process to ensure that each component of the vehicle is examined
Use power tools, machine tools and common hand tools properly and safely.
Review customer work orders and discuss with the team lead
Inspect engine while in operation, road test vehicle if necessary, and test with advanced diagnostic devices to isolate any and all faults
Help maintain a healthy and safe working environment for everyone
What You Will Bring:
Automotive Repair – Level 2 or 3 or the equivalent in experience
A Class 5 NL Drivers license
Completed relevant post-secondary training
Ability to work alone or as part of a team, take direction, and maintain a positive attitude.
Good communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
High level of integrity and work ethic
Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting and operating equipment
