Position Purpose: Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country’s food supply chain. Our delivery drivers not only make sure the customers’ products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition, but they are the face of our company – building lasting relationships with our customers!
Position Summary:
The Driver Helper/Swamper assists the Driver in unloading trailers while delivering products to our customers. This role starts early in the morning so a vehicle to get to work is a must.
Position Responsibilities:
Assists Drivers off-load products to customers.
Unloads truck and/or company vehicles by hand or by use of a hand truck or dolly.
Records deliveries information on daily delivery invoice/load list.
Listens to and resolves service complaints.
Collects or picks up empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise when approved by Customer Service.
Issues or obtains customer signature on receipt for pickup and delivery
Uses on-board computer system and/or logbook to comply with DOT hours requirements
Cleaning inside of the vehicle.
Perform other duties as assigned
Eligibility Requirements:
You’ll be primed for success with these qualifications:
Are at least 18 years of age
Have a clean driving record
Flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and finger to handle objects, tools, or controls.
The employee frequently is required to walk and stand.
The employee is required to sit and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must be willing and able to lift and push up to 75 lbs.
Ability to move a dolly up and down a ramp loaded with up to 250 lbs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
