Job Description:
What is the role?
The QA Analyst will be responsible for developing testing strategies in conjunction with the QA lead, documenting test scenarios, executing test scripts, and tracking results. Duties include collaborating with other project resources to build and maintain testing scripts and ensure that project deliverables are deployed with the least number of bugs. She/he will be a member of a small, but highly efficient team working together to ensure we deliver a quality product to our stores.
What will you do?
Reporting defects and working with the team to resolve them.
Actively collaborating with developers and business stakeholders to clarify requirements. Especially in terms of testability, consistency, and completeness.
Participating proactively in team retrospectives, suggesting and implementing improvements.
Creating test scenarios based on user stories
Participate in story pointing sessions
Ensure accurate and complete success criteria is defined for each user story
Develops detailed test strategies and plans for applications based on technical and business specifications
Retests fixes to ensure defects have been resolved
Documents and communicates test results
Assists in recommendation of processes or systems to enhance the effectiveness of quality assurance and testing strategies
Be an advocate for the quality of the software and quality as part of the software development process
What will you need to succeed?
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or course work emphasis in programming and/or system design
5+ years of industry experience in software quality assurance
Experience with test automation and performance testing tools
Experience with Devops and agile methodology
Experience working with Retail and ERP systems and JIRA
Working experience with Jira
Knowledge and Skills
In depth knowledge of QA methodology and tools
Demonstrated understanding of relational databases
Strong knowledge of computers and/or networks
Ability to handle multiple projects
Capacity for learning quickly in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple tasks simultaneously
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Self-managing
Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) principles
Knowledge of SQL-Transact language and relational database theory
Understanding of retail and ERP system technologies
