Peterson
Vice President, Construction
Peterson believes in forging long-lasting relationships to create positive change in our communities. We’re building something greater in each pillar of Peterson including real estate investment, development, property management, capital lending and private equity. From one building on Alberni Street in Vancouver, Peterson’s interests include ownership in 7.7 million sq ft of commercial property, 2,300 units of residential and hospitality, and participation in the development of an additional 16.6 million sq ft (residential and mixed-use). As we continue to grow, we stay true to our values by putting relationships first, standing by our word and striving for Something Greater in everything we do.
As Vice President, Construction you form a key part of our leadership team, focusing on delivering projects across our portfolio of residential, commercial, and master-planned developments – including over 5,000 residential units in our development pipeline across market and rental housing. Reporting to the COO, you will work closely with the VP Development and VP Sales on exciting, community building projects including large scale, complex, mixed-use high-rise sites.
You will lead the construction division to provide pre-construction expertise, oversight of general contractors, ensuring projects are completed in a timely and profitable manner and to protect Peterson’s interests across project partnerships. You will strive for continued improvement and build effective process and capability within the construction team.
As the ideal candidate you will have 15+ years of construction project management experience managing multiple, complex projects, including high-rise concrete. You will display excellent knowledge of the construction life cycle from pre-construction through to occupancy. Ideally, you will have owners representative experience in addition to any self-performing or general contractor experience, as well as leading and developing a construction team.
This is a unique opportunity to join one of BC’s premier, tier one real estate companies in a key leadership position. You can expect an inclusive, forward-thinking culture, and excellent career growth.
