Job Description

As the Retoucher for the Marketing Department, you will contribute to a high standard and volume of ecommerce and content photography. You will be a pivotal contributor to Laura’s success by editing images in Photoshop, and maintaining the quality of the images.

How will you support the team?

• Retouch a high volume of images in a fast-paced environment.
• Ensure all required images meet the standards and deadlines are met.
• Ensure that proper naming convention is used to file images correctly.
• Ensure all retouching tools and software required are present and functional to maintain maximum studio efficiency.
• Help ensure a maximum quality control of images captured.
• Assist in improving production efficiencies and workflow.
• Understand the workflow of the studio and follow studio operating procedures.
• Responsible for abiding by retouching guidelines.
• Maintain a high image quality and volume based on targets in accordance with company style guidelines.
• Must be able to coordinate and quality control any work from external retouchers, according to retouching guidelines (download/upload of FTP transfers).
• Responsible for archiving photos and ensuring backups are loaded onto company servers.

Qualifications

• A degree or experience in Photo editing, Graphic Design or relevant experience
• 1-2 years of experience in an e-commerce photo studio or e-commerce production lab.
• Proven high level of proficiency in Photoshop, and Capture One in a professional environment
• Proven experience using colour and aesthetic correction on images
• Proven experience in retouching beauty and product imagery
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Strong time management skills with the proven ability to work under pressure with tight and changing deadlines
