What you’ll do
The Coordinator, Regional Cancer Care Program, reports to the Senior Director, Regional Clinical Operations and works with the Community Oncology Support Team Leadership of the BC Cancer. The Coordinator is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining and evaluating a comprehensive strategic plan for the Community Oncology Network services within the Regional Cancer Centre and facilitates network-wide process improvement. Regular tasks include:
Develop, implement, and evaluate, in conjunction with other stakeholders, the strategic plans and performance of the CON at the Regional Cancer Centre, based on the mission and values of BC Cancer. Analyze factors contributing to regional service delivery deficiencies and make recommendations for improvement.
Coordinate the evidence-based planning and design of assigned initiatives. Partner with Regional Health Authority leaders the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of initiative activities, ensuring adherence to systems, practices, policies and timelines. Monitor progress and take corrective action to ensure that initiative reporting requirements are met.
Under the guidance of the Senior Director, develop and evaluate processes, guidelines and pathways for assigned initiatives that ensure high quality patient care, in collaboration with clinical leadership and other areas as required. Partner with health systems leaders and clinicians in order to implement change processes and assist in the re-engineering process required for transition from existing service models to new models.
Develop and maintain appropriate documentation including action and decision logs. Prepare reports, graphs, tables, briefing notes, presentations, issue papers and make recommendations based on the data. Lead in the development of systems and reports that compile information from multiple sources; research and analyse issues and trends in order to identify data/information required for monitoring budgets, quality and key performance indicators.
Interface and liaise with the BC Cancer Community Oncology Support Team to ensure Regional Centre leaders and clinicians are provided with relevant information to support the advancement of the regional cancer care strategies and enhancements in the community oncology network.
What you bring
Bachelor’s degree in a health care discipline or related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
Three (3) years’ recent, related experience in health care, including one (1) year experience in a project management/coordination role within a complex health system
Skills and Experience:
Extensive knowledge of the health care system, related to care and service delivery and the interdependencies among multiple clinical programs and services.
Proven ability to lead, plan, implement and manage large complex clinical initiatives including financial analysis and project planning and management methodologies.
Demonstrated leadership and responsive management in an environment of constant change and redefinition, with the ability to re-direct and mobilize teams.
Excellent communication skills to function within a complex interdisciplinary environment including strong persuasive language skills e.g. to support conflict resolution.
Working knowledge of applicable regulations, legislation and collective agreements.
Computer literacy with standard word-processing and spreadsheet ability, along with effective use of a variety of software applications to support initiative management activities.

Job Type: Regular, Full-Time
Salary Range: $77,822 – $111,869. The starting salary for this position would be determined with consideration of the successful candidate’s relevant education and experience, and would be in alignment with the provincial compensation reference plan. Salary will be prorated accordingly for part time roles.
