Your responsibilities will include:
− Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts; draws conclusions based on the analyses and presents them to the management.
− Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses; studying proposed changes in methods and materials.
− Develop value-added reporting and analysis frameworks for monitoring performance throughout the year tracking high interest or high-risk areas.
− Critically evaluates and helps implement new/revised financial and business processes.
− Maintain flexibility in the face of new working environments or time-sensitive requests.
− Collaborate with other Finance or cross functional teams with various ad-hoc financial analyses; often direct requests from the Leadership team (e.g. strategic planning initiatives).
− Develop and maintain a comprehensive financial model for purposes of the strategic plan, encompassing all major financial metrics (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, RONA) with sufficient detail to provide metrics at the product, market, and brand level.
− Develop and maintain weekly/monthly reporting of KPIs to senior management (weekly scorecard reporting).
Experience and requirements:
− Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related
− 5 years related experience.
− High proficiency in financial modeling techniques
− Strong fluency with Excel formulas and functions
− knowledge of ACCPAC, ACCESS, PowerBi and SQL are an asset
− Strong analytical and data gathering skills
− Capable of working in a deadline-oriented environment
− Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, in French and English.
