As a Spryker Solution Architect at Pivotree, you will envision, design and implement innovative commerce solutions for our customers as they endeavor to create a more agile, frictionless commerce experience.
Having the right mix of business acumen, Spryker experience and cloud technology, best practices will allow you to understand the client’s needs and deliver solutions that wow them, whether it’s a new implementation or a commerce modernization project. As a senior member of the Architecture team, you will also be contributing internally to assist the VP of Architecture in evolving the Centre of Excellence across the broader organization and leading our next generation commerce platform initiatives.
Roles & Responsibilities:
● Lead Spryker project deliveries from design to launch.
● Provide deep expertise & leadership across a range of technologies. You will be the go-to person for technology direction, resolving complex engineering issues and guiding best practices during projects.
● Design solution architectures that effectively address both functional and non-functional requirements.
● Using cloud as a foundation, work with clients to build modernization roadmaps for their commerce solution.
● Clearly articulate complex technical solutions to key business stakeholders. Build deep relationships with customers and become a trusted advisor.
● Propose solutions and provide effort estimates for both existing customer engagements and during the sales process.
● Actively participate in Pre-sales activities including solutioning, estimating, planning, resourcing and presenting.
● Mentor, coach and motivate less senior architects and engineers.
● Working with the project manager to support the technical aspects of project delivery including planning, estimating, quality, change and risk management.
● Ability to quickly adapt to changing customer requirements and technology landscape.
● Drive towards delivery excellence and customer delight.
● Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set and manage appropriate customer expectations when defining solutions.
● Work with peers to strive for continuous improvement through establishing and driving best practices and processes in architecture.
● Support the VP of Architecture in working through the vision and mission of the department across the broader organization.
Key Skills and Competencies:
● Minimum one year implementation experience in Spryker with at least one as a lead architect
● SME in microservices, API first, cloud native and headless architectures
● Track record of successfully delivering cloud-based solutions – from migrations to app modernization.
● Excellent communication skills (English), with the ability to work with stakeholders of all levels both technical and non-technical.
● Ability to produce detailed solution architecture diagrams and documentation.
● Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code tooling (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation)
● Solid understanding of cloud security – application, server, network, DevSecOps.
● Customer specific experience with the AWS Well Architected Framework, or similar.
● Experience implementing Containerization and/or serverless solutions for clients.
● Proficient with DevOps principles, Git, CI/CD tooling and best practices.
● Ability to prepare and lead client technical working sessions.
● An eagerness to learn and stay current – no two projects are ever the same.
● Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and core principles.
● Experience working with geographically dispersed team members.
● Experience providing technical leadership in developing team members.
Beneficial Skills and Experience:
● Professional Services environments.
● Background in software development.
● Frontend platforms such as Vuestore front and Frontastic a plus
● Backend integration and back office platform knowledge such as OMS, WMS, ERP, CRM, etc.
● Industry experience in retail, order management and system performance.
● Google Cloud or Microsoft Azure.
● AWS Architecture Certification(s).
