Plastic Staffing Inc Looking for Maintenance Helper at Cobourg, ON Full Time

If you like to fix things, have good problem-solving skills, like to keep things organized and clean, and like a variety of tasks each day – then this job is for you! We are looking for a Maintenance Helper to start immediately to keep our facility and equipment in good working order, clean, neat, and sanitized.

This position will report to the maintenance manager and while the position does not require journeyman’s or red seal certification, or a license, the successful candidate must be handy and skilled in all the areas mentioned above and be adept with a variety of power, hand, maintenance, and cleaning tools.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
Superior problem-solving skills

Skilled working with their hands.

Ability to work with a variety of hand and power tools, lawn and garden equipment, and cleaning solutions and chemicals.

Knowledge and understanding of cleaning, sanitization, and maintaining a clean and tidy building and campus.

EDUCATION:
High School Diploma, required

College Diploma in a skilled trade preferred

A valid and clean driver’s license, required

Successful completion of WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety on-line course, required (can be acquired once hired)

EXPERIENCE:
Two years experience working in maintenance, or a trade (construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing) or similar experience maintaining buildings and a facility.
