Summary
Pleora is a leader in high-performance networked video interfaces. As a member of the Product Verification (PV) team, you will be responsible for verifying our products. You will work closely with the development team to design and execute manual and automated tests to determine if our products meet design and functional specifications. You will create, manage, review and execute test plans that thoroughly assess our hardware and software products, and you will document, review, share and preserve the test results. Test cases are automated, when possible, to ensure timely and repeatable test results.
As a team member of the PV team, you will help ensure all new and existing Pleora products are reliable, defect-free and meet functional specifications. You will work alongside members to meet/exceed established objectives.
What you do
Translate requirements, user stories and high-level design specs into test objectives and plans
Develop end-to-end test cases to identify product deficiencies prior to release
Build test automation tools to increase testing efficiency and effectiveness for new design loads and feature changes
Research new technologies and integrate them into the test automation mainstream
Participate in system integration testing, performance testing, and reliability testing
Contribute to the project planning process; deliver optimized testing within the established schedules and project constraints
Document product deficiencies for future issue tracking and resolution
Provide feedback to design team regarding test results, ensuring their understanding of the methodology and results
Work with designers to debug issues and ensure quality
Create, distribute, and analyze PV reports, i.e. defects, test plan progress, coverage, etc.
Work with Technical Publications team: review and verify the accuracy and completeness of product documentation and release notes
Create test scenarios that reproduce field problems to isolate and identify root cause of issues
What you need
Completion of a post-secondary Engineering or Applied Science University or College program that provides a general awareness of hardware and software product design and development methods and standards; or a combination of education and related experience
Proven ability to understand functional requirements and translate into test objectives and plans
Product verification experience with networked devices, both hardware and software
Understanding of networking
Experience working in Windows and Linux environments
Success in building and/or assisting with verification infrastructure, with a focus on automation
Ability to program in C/C++ ; Experience in Python or Tcl is beneficial
Familiar with Git, Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, CVS, SVN
Effective communication skills in English, both written and oral
High attention to detail
Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
Recognized ability to perform in a team environment
