Summary
We are looking for a personable, self-motivated Sales Development Representative who will be responsible for identifying and generating sales opportunities through both inbound and outbound communication and lead nurturing activities. The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, know how to assess the company’s needs and provide a personalized, targeted outreach to each prospect. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Sales Operations, you will work closely with our Sales Engineers and Regional Sales Managers, Marketing teams and other stakeholders, to contribute to a healthy opportunity pipeline.
What you do
Prioritize and qualify prospective leads, while ensuring that lead, contact and opportunity records are complete and accurate
Educate and develop prospects until they are ready to speak with a field sales rep
Perform research, as required, to obtain key company information during the qualification process and generate additional leads/prospects
Demonstrate the value of our offering through phone calls, email, LinkedIn and other social mediums
Scheduling initial prospecting meetings for the Sales Team
Work with Sales and Marketing teams to identify ongoing strategic targets
Work with Sales teams to support the acquisition of new accounts in the region
Log the lead lifecycle in Salesforce, including lead source activity, appropriately so that the ROI of lead-gen programs can be accurately reported
What you need
3-4 year diploma/degree in Business or related field; or combination of education and industry-related experience
3-5 years of successful experience in telemarketing, inside sales or sales, preferably in the technology sector
Technical aptitude/willingness to learn, then effectively communicate the value proposition of Pleora product families
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and an energetic personality
Experience with CRM applications. Salesforce is an asset
Ability to develop rapport, influence others and maintain strong working relationships
Demonstrated success in prospecting customers, and assessing their needs
Positive attitude and demonstrated ability to deal with rejection/repetitive outreach
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Adept computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office
Background knowledge in Image Processing/Analysis, AI, Machine Learning, quality inspection and/or embedded systems a strong asset.
