Responsibilities
The Manager of Organic Social Media (OSM) is a Leadership position reporting to the Director of Creative Services. The Manager of OSM is responsible for ensuring that the department delivers engaging content strategies for clients through the mediums of Social Media.
The Manager of OSM is a people manager and a product manager. Primary responsibilities include driving product performance (delivering solutions that are on time, above expectation, and error-free), driving product innovation, and guiding a team of Organic Social Media Strategists and Contractors (Graphic Design & Content) in strategy creation and execution. The Manager of OSM also assists with and mitigates client concerns, collaborates with internal stakeholders to gather constructive product feedback, and lead department process development. Secondary responsibilities include reviewing content and design, as well as ensuring accuracy in branding and high performing metrics.
The Manager of Organic Social Media will:
Lead, Manage, and Accountable for the training, career development, performance management, and operations of a team of up to 10 direct reports
Manage people operations of the team, including interviewing, hiring, and dismissals
Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture; manage culture budget
Lead product development and standardization
Set the standards for on brand delivery of both visual and written content
Maintain departmental profitability through adherence to COGs
Evaluate, monitor, and innovate departmental programs and process
Seek methods to increase efficiency while maintaining quality
Understand the needs of the sales team and how the product should adjust to meet the needs of our clients and the industry
Support the sales team in knowledge and delivery of the product
Implement, document, and train departmental processes
Evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of internal process and update when necessary
Qualifications
Must Have:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
3+ years experience in digital marketing with a focus in social media
1+ year(s) experience leading a team
Extensive experience in client facing roles
Strong communication and coaching skills
Strong organizational skills
The ability to adapt and pivot quickly
The ability to create effective social media strategies
Nice to Have:
Past experience executing successful marketing campaign strategies for an agency
Can seamlessly use hashtags in everyday conversation because you’re #notlikeotherapplicants
