Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. Looking for Finance Controlling Intern at Toronto, Ontario, Canada Full Time

Position Objective

Porsche Cars Canada is looking for a Finance Controlling Intern for a 6-12 month tenure to provide support to the Porsche Cars Canada Finance Team in all relevant aspects. The position in the Finance Department requires a motivated, self-driven intern to provide support with various aspects of the financial controlling duties while displaying an innovative mindset through process improvement and special projects. This position will gain valuable insight into Porsche Cars Canada by collaborating with various departments within the company while enhancing their skill-set as they apply their learned knowledge in a corporate setting.

Primary Responsibilities

• Support in daily controlling, budgeting, reporting responsibilities
• Support in month-end close responsibilities
• Point of contact for accounting related inquiries with dealers and vendors
• General administrative tasks and meeting minutes documentation
• Support in analysis of strategic initiatives and innovation projects
• Support internal controls testing and ad-hoc projects when needed
• Actively identify process enhancement opportunities for automation to create efficiencies
• Support in organization and maintenance of document retention and archiving

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree student or recent graduate with a specialization in Business, Management, Automotive, Finance, Accounting, Mathematics or other related field

Skills/Competencies/Experience

• Ability to multitask and deliver high quality work under tight timelines
• Ability to proactively solve problems and work independently
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Excellent attention to detail
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of SAP enterprise software considered an asset
• Fluency (written and oral) in French or German considered an asset
• Previous relevant internship or work experience in the automotive industry or premium brands considered an asset
