The Training Coordinator, Technical Operations reports to the Supervisor, Training & Systems Support within the Maintenance Quality Assurance department. This position supports the compliance and effectiveness of the Technical Operations Approved Maintenance Organization (AMO) Training Program.
Manage the assignment of initial, recurrent, upgrade and additional training with the Approved Maintenance Organization, including both regulatory and required before use training
Organize and facilitate the onboarding document and training requirements of new hires, transfers and upgraded team members
Support the Supervisor, Training & Systems Support and Trainers, Technical Operations in the scheduling of type endorsement courses and internal practical training for all Technical Operations team members
Act as an Administrator for the Learning Management System (LMS)
Maintain accurate training records for all Technical Operations team members
Maintain accurate document records for all Technical Operations team members
Control the issuance, amendment and archiving of Authorization Cards including categories and limitations
Control signing authority rights, stamps and digital signatures within the MRO software
Participate in the development of training program creation
Actively participate in Porter’s Safety Management System (SMS) including reporting hazards and incidents encountered in daily operations; understand, comply and promote the Company Safety Policy

Experience in the aviation industry an asset
Experience using the Saba Learning Management System an asset
Effective communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills; keen attention to detail
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to use computer applications such as MS Word, MS Excel, Google sheets, etc.
Ability to obtain and maintain necessary airport security clearance
Must maintain a valid passport and be able to travel when required
