The Bread and Butter of the Position

Reporting to the Warehouse & Logistics Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor will ensure leadership, supervision, and smooth operations of the warehouse teams, including third-party distribution, order building and inventory controls. The successful candidate will be a hands-on leader, working with the team each day to ensure our standards are met or exceeded.

This is a full-time, salaried position. The warehouse supervisor has a strong sense of urgency and has a can-do attitude. From ideas and strategy suggestions provided to the W&L Manager to daily grind operational details, this Supervisor leads by example finding solutions and jumping in where needed.

The Supervisor ensures new team members are set up for success and work safely and productively. This role will assess work performance and provide coaching and feedback to warehouse team members.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Supervise team members performing duties form order builders, transfer driving, receiving, and casing frozen product.
• Ensures orders are built according to route manifest in a productive and accurate manner and products are being received according to policy.
• Ensures that all team members are working safely, following all guidelines and policies.
• Manage all aspects of staffing including recruitment and selection, scheduling, supervision, coaching and developing, performance management and all other people management practices with the aid of the Warehouse & Logistics Manager and Human Resources
• Work with team leads to ensure consistent leadership shift coverage
• Ensure smooth communications between teams and other departments
• Ensure daily administration tasks are completed
• Provide staff with leadership, direction, encouragement, and development opportunities
• Constantly improve processes. Make suggestions for productivity improvements and optimize employee workflow
• Resolves conflict and ensures a high level of team morale
• Maintain high cleanliness and organizational standards
• Maintains the technical ability to effectively work within the department

The Ingredients You Bring to the Table

• Valid Driver’s License with Clean Abstract with reliable transportation to and from work
• Forklift Operation Certification an asset
• 3 to 5 years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or similar role
• Ability to work overnight shifts. (For training or meeting purposes)
• Ability to analyze data and provide insights from data
• Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
• Team player
• Good time-management skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
