ABOUT THE ROLE
Power Factors continue to grow and we are actively seeking a Project Manager, Technical Services to support our growth and success. In this role, you will be a key contributor to the Engineering Operations department where you will plan and direct successful software implementation projects, which includes acting as a liaison agent with our clients. This is a one-year Maternity Leave replacement with benefits.
The ideal candidate for this opportunity is someone that can work with multiple competing priorities and projects while maintaining the scope, schedule, and budget throughout the initial power plant onboarding. You will also be able to identify and clearly communicate any project implementation variations and deviations (risks, cost, schedule, scope, etc.), ultimately ensuring new power plants are successfully configured within our Drive SaaS platform while maintaining customer satisfaction. In this position, you will report to the Manager, Technical Projects and you will be working from home, in Canada.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
Planning and Resourcing (60%)
Review current and forecasted project work
Assign and divert internal resources to support the current workload
Identify the required external resources (material and services)
Convey internal resource requirements to appropriate stakeholders
Internal documentation library management
Communications Management (30%)
Clearly broadcast both internal and external status updates, blockers and course correction updates
Act as a liaison between Engineering Operations and our Customers to ensure the progress of all projects is being communicated on a regular basis
Customer meeting minutes
Internal Tool and Process Improvements (10%)
Provide input for value add opportunities
Scope functional requirements for continuous process improvement initiatives
Identify and execute upon closed-loop learning opportunities
WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business Management, Operations Management or in a related field;
Project Management Certification (PMP) is preferred;
Minimum of 3 years experience in technical project management experience;
Working knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Wrike, Confluence or Lucid Charts;
Experience in renewable energies and/or SaaS software is considered an asset;
Strong Excel and Microsoft office technical skills.
