We are looking for a Head Shipper- Warehouse Lead to join a reputable manufacturing company in Montreal!
Full time. Permanent.
Responsibilities:
Manage shipments and lead initiatives to improve service levels;
Ensure the quality and accuracy of all supplies and materials moving in and out of the factory;
Realize the maintenance of shipping/receiving area;
Plan daily shipments of customer orders using computer systems, and product availability;
Perform daily loading and offloading of trailers and/or warehouse transfers;
Organise daily work schedule for shipper-receivers, shunt drivers;
Prepare shipping documentation (BoLs, transfers, waybills, customs invoices) and filing;
Request quotes from shippers and carriers;
Oversee shipping to ensure sales orders are not past due and shipped on time;
Unpack, verify and record incoming merchandise/material;
Keep accurate inventory and report discrepancies;
Perform trailer and dock inspections;
Assist with inventory audits as required;
Perform other related duties.
Profile:
Experience in shipping and logistics in a manufacturing environment, with import/export and customs clearance experience;
Experience with forklifts and having a valid licence;
Bilingual in French and English;
Customer and detail-oriented;
Highly organised and able to prioritise, with excellent time management;
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure/thrive in a fast-paced environment.
