Regional Facility and Construction Manager Responsibilities:
Work with key stakeholders to identify appropriate land (including ensuring appropriate planning permissions apply to the land) for new facilities that maximize the companies’ ability to generate income, reduce costs and meet the strategic interests of the company.
Work with VP of Infrastructure to use network of contacts within the industry to identify developers, agents, and construction companies to undertake and deliver a building to meet the goals of the business.
Work with VP of Infrastructure to negotiate contractual agreements and coordinate review with the Legal Department (where necessary) with Developers, Suppliers and Construction Companies.
Design facilities ensuring efficient workflow, cost effectiveness, safe ergonomic employee environment and meets the Premier standards of facility presentation.
Planning for future development in line with strategic business objectives
Work with local management to help coordinate levels of maintenance required to maintain facilities
Collaborate with local management on budgeting for facility needs
Assist local management to be sure facilities are fully operational with all utilities functioning properly
Work with local management to ensure each facility meets the Premier standards under the banner of “Premier Ready”.
Work with key stakeholders to prepare facility business case and provide recommendations for executive review and approvals.
Work with VP of Infrastructure to negotiate all facility leases and coordinate legal review of leases to ensure they meet the company’s acceptable risk profile.
Implement and maintain a lease management system which identifies actions on key dates.
Project management and supervise major capital works associated with the facility.
Ensuring the building meets health and safety requirements and that facilities comply with legislation.
Manage all major capital expenditure initiatives that relate to facilities such as branding, equipment purchases and renovations
Obtain quotes for capital expenditure and coordinate to achieve the best outcome.
Project management, supervising and coordinating work of contractors.
Regional Facility and Construction Manager Requirements :
Must be able to influence the operations of others, concurrent with taking direction from and supporting the vision of the company.
Must be proven leader able to motivate, inspire, and engage diverse groups
Team player able to work with minimal supervision
Previous experience in the automotive/industry is preferred
