Prep Doctors® Looking for Accountant at Mississauga, Ontario, Canada Full Time

We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented individual to join our finance team as an Accountant. In addition to traditional accounting responsibilities, this role will involve providing additional support to our Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in various day-to-day tasks. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Review general ledger accounts to maintain their integrity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with the CFO during the month-end close process, providing essential support to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Complete various year-end audit requirements, working closely with auditors as necessary.
• Conduct strong analysis of Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts, identifying trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement.
• Participate in projects aimed at enhancing efficiency and reporting accuracy within the finance department.
• Assisting the CFO in managing their schedule by scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments, and organizing travel arrangements.
• Assisting with document preparation tasks such as drafting correspondence, creating presentations, and formatting reports.
• Additional other tasks as assigned by the CFO, demonstrating adaptability and a willingness to tackle new challenges.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited educational institute.
• Professional designation (CPA, CMA, etc.) or progress towards obtaining such designation preferred.
• A minimum of one (1) years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Knowledge of QuickBooks, Oracle software is considered an asset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc. ), with the ability to manipulate complex data sets and produce clear, concise reports.
• Capacity to manage multiple projects simultaneously without compromising quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Aptitude for identifying root causes of issues and developing effective solutions.
