Duties and Responsibilities; answering phones, booking appointments, greeting and checking-in patients; maintaining flow of front office; assisting health care providers with front office administrative tasks; maintaining front office organization including forms, contact lists, files, Scanning patient information into the EMR.
Qualifications and Requirements; Medical Office Administration Program including medical terminology and/or equivalent education/experience; post-secondary education in a related field such as business administration; proficiency in computer applications: Windows, Microsoft Office programs, email and internet research; demonstrated organization, problem solving, written and oral communication; experience with an electronic medical record (EMR), preferably Telus/P.S Suites and experience working in a Family Health Team is considered an asset. The successful candidate will have an ability to maintain confidentiality and impartiality; the capacity to adapt quickly to a fast paced, dynamic work environment; a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail; proven participatory work style; ability to work independently and with a team.
