We have an opportunity for a Senior Accountant role, to join our Finance team.
As a key member of the finance team, your responsibilities will include overseeing revenue reporting, ensuring accurate recognition, and conducting in-depth analysis. You’ll also lead month-end reporting, resolve recognition issues, and operational improvements. Additionally, you’ll be tasked with managing business processes, ensuring compliance, and offering audit and tax support. In this role, you will:
Revenue Reporting
- Prepare month end revenue reporting including usage, subscription, and non-standard operations revenue by business vertical.
- Review and track deferred revenue schedules for subscription-based revenue and ensure accurate and timely revenue recognition.
- Perform revenue analysis to ensure revenues are accurately and completely stated as well as investigate the difference (if any).
Management Reporting
- Validate management reports by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
- Resolving revenue recognition issues (i.e. incorrect attribution of revenue by business verticals, incomplete revenue recognition, accrual of revenue if required etc.).
Business Operations
- Lead collaborative discussions and act as a key daily liaison between stakeholders of business processes.
- Drive process improvements including assessing internal controls and proactively recommending changes to continuously improve business processes and workflows.
- Ensure compliance with applicable internal control standards related to area of responsibility.
- Review revenue contracts, identify inherent risks related to revenue, assess accounting implication and determine the accounting treatment.
- Research technical accounting guidance and present in a non-technical format that is easily understandable.
- Manage publisher settlements, ensure accurate recording and reporting of company’s and publishing partners’ share of revenue from digital platforms maintained by the company.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties.
Audit and Tax Support
- Provide necessary documentation and support for audit inquiries.
- Prepare various working papers for year-end audit.
- Prepare working schedule and validate the financial information to support sales and other indirect tax compliance.
You are a great fit if you have:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting.
- A Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or enrollment in the CPA PEP program.
- Experience with IFRS.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills, complemented by effective time and task management abilities.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Great communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- The capacity to manage multiple projects concurrently, adeptly handling conflicting priorities.
- The ability to collaborate effectively and work independently.
- A proactive mindset, a passion for learning, and a commitment to delivering quality work.
- A creative approach to finding solutions and bringing fresh perspectives to overcome challenges.
- A good sense of humor.
Bonus points if you have:
- Proficiency with accounting systems such as Dynamics 365 Business Central
- Experience working with software/applications such as Snowflake, Power BI, Jet Analytics, and integration with CRM
- A strong interest in the technology sector.

The pay range for this role is $75,000 to $83,000, depending on experience.
