Help Desk Support Technician

(Full Time)

Do you love helping others, and have a diploma or certificate in the Information Technology field, as well as experience in Help Desk Support?

Along with being a well-organized, motivated individual that completes delivery of support for the IT department, you will work closely with the Computer Services Team to deliver IT services, printing services, training, and other related duties to the PGNFC staff, clients and community members in a professional and timely manner. You will implement exceptional communication and multi-tasking skills, and you will project a high expectation of data and information confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications include:

• Information technology-related diploma and/or certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
• Excellent computer skills including troubleshooting, repairing and configuring PCs and installing software
• Experience with the most recent version of Microsoft Office suite of products, as well as general knowledge around collaboration tools, image manipulation and productivity tools
• Experience working with SpiceWorks, VNC, Zoom, ScheduleView and Adobe Acrobat forms would be an asset
• Hands-on and current experience and understanding of computer networking fundamentals (TCP/IP), firewall and network security
• Ability to respond to pressure situations, adapt to change, work independently and within a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to be proactive, take initiative and work with minimal supervision
• Superior interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Proven professionalism, decision-making skills, tact and diplomacy
• Experience working within an Aboriginal organization
• Class 5 driver’s license
• Ability to undergo a successful criminal record search
