Cleaner/Caregiver for Private Home with Quadriplegic Man and Dog
We are currently seeking a reliable and compassionate cleaner/caregiver to work in a private home with a quadriplegic man and his dog about 5x a week (flexible schedule for more or less days). The successful candidate will be responsible for providing personal care and support to the quadriplegic man, as well as keeping the home clean and tidy.
Responsibilities:
Providing personal care and support to the quadriplegic man, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and exercises.
Performing light housekeeping duties, including cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
Taking care of the dog, including feeding and picking up after the dog but not walking.
Assets:
Previous experience in caregiving or cleaning.
Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
Excellent communication skills.
A valid driver’s license is preferred.
In addition to the responsibilities listed above, the successful candidate will also be responsible for assisting the quadriplegic man with exercises and workout activities. This may include following a specific exercise routine, as directed by the quadriplegic man and his healthcare team.
Therefore, we are looking for someone who is comfortable with physical activity, has a good understanding of exercise and movement, and is able to provide support to the quadriplegic man during his workouts.
