The Opportunity:
We are looking for a self-motivated, resourceful and collaborative team player who enjoys challenge and variety. Reporting to the Manager, IT & Administration you will be handling a wide range of tasks to ensure the smooth and efficient running of the PDAC office systems. You will be engaging with staff, vendors and suppliers for sourcing and ordering of office supplies, equipment and services. The successful candidate will have a positive attitude and will be driven by supporting
people and resolving problems as they arise.
What You Will Do:
Carry out existing day-to-day administrative processes and maintain all office systems
included but not limited to computer hardware and software, equipment, telephone, video
conferencing systems, web-based applications, and AV.
Receive, evaluate and perform initial troubleshooting of requests from staff related to office
systems;
Administer various accounts on user management and billing;
Assist with onsite meeting room setup and provide reception back-up as needed;
Monitor and order office supplies and stationery;
Participate in the setup, orientation and training of new team members;
Train or assist team members with technology as needed;
Research products and services, collect quotes and provide recommendations to increase
efficiency, productivity and/or cost-savings;
Escalate or engage vendors as necessary to resolve issues in an efficient manner; coordinate
repair, installation work if required;
Coordinate with building management and vendors on facilities and maintenance issues;
Maintain up-to-date inventory of office furniture, equipment and kitchen appliances;
Administer records stored in offsite facilities, coordinate deliveries and refiling;
Assist with tasks related to PDAC office during the annual Convention in March, including but
not limited to packing, coordinating move-in and out; on-site administration and technical
assistance, front desk coverage;
Assist staff with the formatting of documents;
Create mailing and shipping orders, provide guidance and assistance to staff;
Actively work towards maintaining and promoting a safe work environment; provide
guidance to staff on fire safety and emergency procedures;
Perform other related tasks, dependent upon the needs of the association.
Qualifications Required
You have:
Minimum 2 years of experience working in a similar role;
College degree in a relevant field of study or a combination of equivalent education, job
related training and /or experience;
Advanced knowledge and/or experience working with Windows systems, MS Office, web-
based applications; printers and other hardware;
Ability to adopt new processes and learn computer systems quickly;
Excellent oral and written communications skills in English;
Ability to multitask and work well under pressure;
Occasional moderate lifting (up to 10lbs) may be required.

The PDAC office is located at 170 University Avenue, Suite 800, Toronto, Ontario. The successful
candidate will be required to attend the PDAC office 4 days/week and 1 day remotely.
