About Cyber Nations Foundation:
The Cyber Nations Foundation is a global program designed to engage 100,000 African, Caribbean, and Canadian learners in training for roles such as cybersecurity operations analysts, incident responders, vulnerability specialists, and cyber literacy coordinators. This program provides a direct path to employment for its participants. Founded in 2019, the foundation initially focused on empowering women and youth. The primary objectives of the Cyber Nations Foundation are to elevate cyber literacy worldwide and to cultivate a diverse talent pool that can help address the growing demand for cybersecurity professionals. Learners interested in upskilling to join the cyber industry embark on an intensive four-month program. Upon successful completion, they receive a Cybersecurity Analyst certificate from a recognized Canadian post-secondary institution and gain access to job placement services. These newly acquired skills are immediately put to use as learners are matched with hiring organizations.

Position Overview:
The Academic Coordinator is a key member of the Cyber Nations Foundation learning team responsible for the successful delivery of the online cybersecurity bootcamp in Canada and in other Nations and reports to the Director of Training. The coordinator supports the development, improvement, and delivery of Cyber Nations Foundation’s flagship educational offerings. The coordinator will also play an instrumental role in developing and shaping the suite of learning solutions that support the Cyber Nations Foundation personalized cybersecurity platform to train users and drive behavioral change toward more cyber awareness and hygiene. Education is a staple of the Cyber Nations Foundation solutions, and the coordinator is responsible for the coordination and successful delivery while achieving the highest academic standards and meeting the learning outcomes.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
Coordinate the delivery of the cybersecurity program; including but not limited to:
• Oversee content and engagement in LMS
• Scheduling, coordination with faculty and guest speakers
• Be the primary support for student questions
• Serve as a mentor for student groups
• Ensure quality of academic/bootcamp experience
• Work with Project Manager on scheduling and logistics
• Provide review, grading support
• Coordinate with partners Cisco NetAcad, CompTIA, post-secondary education institutions and others
• Develop and maintain lesson plan and syllabus
• Provide other coordination services such as the development of webinars
• Cultivate strong partnerships with vendors and collaborators to achieve and optimize learning solutions and outputs

The successful candidate will have:
• Completed Relevant Cyber Certifications
• Demonstrated ability to roll up their sleeves, be hands-on, while also having the capability and vision to build out a longer-term team and capabilities.
• A high degree of resilience and strong change leadership and change management skills.
• Excellent planning, prioritization, organizational and budgeting skills
• An ability to balance a sense of urgency with shipping high quality and pragmatic solutions
• Education experience
• A proven track record in coaching and developing technical learners and teams
• Be a true collaborator and great communicator
