As we continue to grow, we are seeking a full-time Accounting Assistant to join the Finance team.
Job Description
The Accounting Assistant position will be responsible for performing billing, accounts payable and general accounting entries at PSD Citywide. The successful candidate act as a point of contact for customer billing, vendor invoice processing and credit card reconciliations. They ensure timely processing of monthly transactional work, assisting in booking monthly entries and preparing financial statements and reconciliations as part of the month end close. They also assist with the year end audit and other year end close responsibilities.
Responsibilities & Duties
Full cycle management of customer billing, including tracking of new contracts through the sales & implementation cycle, ensuring accurate and timely customer billing (license, implementation, and annual support)
Full cycle management of accounts payable, including vendor invoice entry, vendor payments and credit card reconciliations
Completion of monthly bank reconciliations
Apply customer payments on a daily/weekly basis
Assist with general accounting matters such as month end accruals, monthly payroll journal entries, etc.
Assist with the month end close and financial statement preparation
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
University degree or College diploma in Accounting
2+ years of financial accounting experience in a similar role
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Effective communication skills; ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization
Professional self-starter with a commitment to constantly upgrade skills through continuous learning.
Forward-looking, challenging status quo for continuous process improvement; curious, with a desire for learning
Deadline driven individual with strong verbal and written communication skills, high attention to detail, and able to collaborate effectively with team members
Good organizational, time management and prioritization skills
Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures.
Working Conditions
As a hybrid workplace, the successful candidate is expected to spend some of their time working from our London, Ontario office with the potential of full work weeks on site.
