Putney’s Auto Tech Centre Looking for Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic at Hamilton, Ontario, Canada Full Time

We are currently seeking an Automotive Service Technician / Mechanic to become an integral part of our team! You will diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul automotive vehicles.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair defects with automobiles, SUVs, light trucks and trailers.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and detailed digital inspections of vehicle condition.
• Perform annual, and semi-annual safety inspections on retail and light fleet vehicles
• Keep a professional neat appearance and tidy work space.
• Provide labour and time estimates for automotive repair
• Work as an effective team member offering excellent customer service promptly.
• Actively participate in industry training offered.
• Own and maintain necessary technician’s tools and storage

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as an automotive technician/mechanic.with a valid 310s or 310t certification.
• Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Deadline and detail-oriented
• Ability/willingness to effectively use our electronic management software.
• A valid Ontario driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract.
• Be willing to supply an official Police Services Background Check

We invest in the latest in diagnostic and scanning equipment and pay our technicians to take training opportunities locally and out of town. Our recent renovations included planning for EV vehicle sizes and weight. We are investing in repair technology for self-driving vehicles of the future.
