Our team provides document production assistance based on PwC’s template requirements. As part of the team, you’ll be helping with template selection, formatting and incorporation of customised changes based on client need.

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of
As a Document Proofreading Specialist, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Proofreading financial statements, documents, and training guides, including client-prepared documents on an exceptional basis
Checking amounts and performing calculations in financial statements while cross-referencing numbers in documents and all note references
Identifying grammatical weaknesses, format errors, omissions, and inconsistencies in financial statements and other documents
Working from the WordPro Online application, assigning job requests to self from the queue while following best practices
Making suggestions for accounting terminology, general language (syntax, vocabulary) and presentation, ensuring PwC formats and brand are properly applied
Staying up to date with ARQ guidance on the proofreading of opinion letters and following all guidance provided when proofreading those documents
Query practice staff regarding any questions that arise or suggested corrections, review suggested changes
Working closely with engagement teams to clarify expectations, updating on the progress of the work, and focusing on quality and timely delivery of the work
Understanding policies and procedures, adhering to firm standards, templates and protocol
Standardizing terminology used in the documents and recommending changes to improve formats
Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve:
Relevant experience in a similar environment, preferably in fast-paced professional services
University degree in English, journalism, or related equivalencies
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google suites, and Sharepoint is an asset
A team builder with a positive attitude, who has a demonstrated ability to deal with staff at all levels
Ability to work in a highly technical and ever changing work environment
Effective listening skills, excellent oral and written communication skills
Detail oriented, ability to work under pressure in a busy and fast-paced document production environment
Adaptable and able to work within tight deadlines, demonstrating flexibility and prioritizing multiple tasks
A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside diverse people and perspectives
