Quadient is looking for Field Service Technicians to work in the field, traveling to customer locations to provide service, maintenance, and installations. The Field Service Technicians we are looking for have the technical skills to troubleshoot issues and ensure that the equipment is installed and working properly, while also managing customer relationships to boost customer retention and satisfaction.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide service and support on Quadient Canada products during customer visits.
· Manage onsite installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks.
· Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions.
· Teach customers how to use the equipment/product properly.
· Enjoy working with the latest technologies, but also not afraid to get your hands dirty.
· Manage the stock of replacement parts and equipment.
· Responsible for promoting Quadient products and services.
· Stay current with the technology and regulatory requirements and continuously seek learning opportunities through Company-sponsored trainings, external courses, and independent studies.
· Produce timely and detailed service reports.
· Document installation and repairs.
· Follow all company’s procedures and protocols.
· Meet or exceed field service key performance indicators.
· Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organisation.
· Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations.
· Build positive relationships with customers.
Qualifications & Experience:
· Must be able to speak and write in English proficiently
· Proven Field Service experience.
· Be a Team player who enjoys working with and helping customers.
· Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service technical equipment.
· Prior knowledge of copier machines, printers/scanners, ATMs, PCs, appliances, vending machines a plus.
· Excellent verbal communication skills with the ability to listen to customers’ requirements.
· Strong interpersonal skills with the aptitude to build positive relationships.
· Time-management skills to manage appointments efficiently and stay on schedule.
· Sound organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency.
· The ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
· A valid driver’s license and good driving record are necessary as is the ability to travel within the assigned territories.
· The ability to lift – up to 20 kg / dual lift – up to 68 kg.
