Quality Sound Alarm: Office Accountant/Bookkeeper
Quality Sound Alarm provides complete monitoring and communication systems for properties throughout Atlantic Canada. Backed by over 30 years of experience, Quality Sound and Alarm offers a variety of services including installations, inspections, testing, verification, repair and maintenance work on security systems, fire alarm systems, access control, PA systems and nurse call systems.
Quality Sound Alarm has an exciting career opportunity. We are seeking an Office Accountant/Bookkeeper to join our team. The Office Accountant/Bookkeeper will work closely with office staff and management. We are looking for an individual who is dynamic, fun, self-motivated, professional, and an experienced problem solver to join our front office team. The ideal candidate will have previous accounting and bookkeeping experience, a keen eye for detail and ability to gather, evaluate and maintain financial reports and information. The ability to multi-task, while maintaining complex schedules and managing administrative support is essential.
Major Responsibilities:
· Prepare job reports, invoices, statements, and financial reports
· Record/collect accounts receivable and payable transactions
· Prepare bank reconciliations as well as credit cards statements
· Prepare bi-weekly payroll and payroll remittances
· Preparation of HST reports on a quarterly basis
· Prepare detailed account reconciliations, including charges, adjustments, and payments
· Manage workflow and multiple tasks
· Maintain accurate office records, bookkeeping and inventory
· Assist with answering phone and responding to customer inquiries
· Assist with handling and coordinating active calendar
· Assist with the creation and scheduling of estimates and jobs
· Other office tasks as required
Attributes & Qualifications:
· Degree or equivalent in accounting or bookkeeping
· Accounting experience
· Bookkeeping experience
· Experienced with QuickBooks an asset
· Excellent customer service, organizational, communication, time management and interpersonal skills
· Positive Attitude
