Position: Accountant
Location: Toronto
Salary: Up to $95,000 + bonus + RRSP + 3 weeks of vacation, 5 days onsite
Are you an experienced accounting professional on the path to your CPA designation? Our client, a top-tier real estate investment firm, is seeking an Accountant to join their team and support their rapid growth. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the accounting and financial reporting for a dynamic portfolio of properties.

Key Functions and Responsibilities:
– Process daily deposits and update ledgers
– Prepare and analyze AR Aging reports
– Review and generate monthly Rent Rolls and other charges
– Reconcile daily bank activity and investigate discrepancies
– Assist in the preparation of monthly Financial Statements and annual audit working papers
– Calculate properties’ ratios and KPIs
– Collaborate with various teams and stakeholders to ensure best practices in accounting and financial reporting
Qualifications:
– University Degree or College Diploma in an accounting-related field
– Preference given to candidates enrolled in the Intermediate levels of a recognized accounting program (CPA) or have a designation
– 1-5 years related experience in real estate or property management is an asset, but not a requirement
– Analytical mindset with a desire to understand key metrics and drivers
– Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
– Working knowledge of Yardi or other ERP software
