Join a long established (1968) Hamilton organization in the financial office supporting multiple automotive dealerships. The successful candidate will be detail oriented, accurate, well-organized, self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Financial Statement preparation
- Account and G/L analysis
- Review and verify cheques for accuracy
- Verify daily income and expense accounts from daily DOC
- Follow up with Department Managers on costing issues
- Review and process bank and other reconciliations
- Review and process government remittances
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations
- Prepare yearend audit work
- Maintain journal entries and dealership records
- Process and account for all dealer trades
- Process and account for all retail and wholesale transactions
- Posting all debit/credit memos
- Maintain vehicle and customer rebates from manufacturers and financial institutions
- Ensure timely receipt of contract money from finance organizations
- Process payment for insurance/warranty
- Input data related to vehicle sales to assist in the preparation of financial statements
- Other duties as required
. Qualifications:
- Accounting Diploma or equivalent work experience
- 3 to 5 year’s experience in an organization with multiple dealerships (preferred not required)
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Strong Analytical skills
- Previous automotive accounting experience with CDK and/or PBS software
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: $55,000.00-$70,000.00 per year

Experience:
- automotive dealership: 3 years (preferred)
- accounting: 3 years (preferred)
