RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for building and maintaining the organization’s enterprise data warehouse, monitoring data quality within that data warehouse, and creating data visualizations
- Integral member of Decision Support, collaborating closely with the team to evaluate their data requirements, build, implement, and support data marts for automated reporting and dashboarding purposes
- Incorporate data from a variety of sources (e.g. clinical, health information, patient satisfaction, patient safety, etc.
- Develop and maintain database management procedures, standards, and documentation to ensure the integrity of the enterprise data warehouse
- Build and maintain data warehouse by creating data marts around the following source systems:
- Clinical data from our Electrical Medical Record system
- Financial data
- Other data sources including patient safety and health information
- Other flat file extracts
- Provide ad-hoc data to team members by creating custom data marts related to their reporting tasks
- Create reports, schedules, dashbaords and other data visualizations and assist in BI system deliverable trouble shooting
- Help provide program analysis to non-clinical portfolios within the hospital

REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires a university bachelor’s degree – preferably in computer science, engineering, health informatics, or a similar field
- A minimum of one (1) year experience in a clinical or health care environment
- Or In lieu of formal education: a commensurate level of experience – three (3) years experience of which one (1) must be in a clinical/health care environment
- Proficiency in SQL, RDBMS
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (advanced Excel, Access, etc.), and other software applications; and an ability to quickly learn similar applications
- Eligible to work in Canada
- Experience and proficiency in computer database, spreadsheet and software applications, and an ability to quickly learn similar applications
- Knowledge of statistics and data analysis, quality management, knowledge management, project management
- Attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and ability to effectively act as an agent with external agency contacts
