The Brokerage Operations team processes entries and updates requests by clients, interdepartmental requests and those by various regulatory groups in a timely manner. The purpose of the Account Transfers Supervisor role is to plan and monitor the daily activities within the account transfers team to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all external account transfers, both incoming and outgoing.
They work collaboratively to foster productive and positive relationships for the benefit of Questrade’s clients and overall business operations.
What’s it like working as the Supervisor, Account Transfers at Questrade?
The Supervisor directs and coordinates the work of a team of Account Transfers Administrators and is responsible for the processing of incoming and outgoing external account transfers transactions.
They foster positive and productive relationships internally and with third party service providers. They work collaboratively with all parties to effectively resolve issues and ensure regulatory compliance, as well as with delivering institutions to ensure a smooth transfer process.
In addition, the Supervisor, Account Transfers acts as a key escalation point for client complaints and complex issues.

In this role, you will oversee the daily activities of a team of Transfers Administrators. You will monitor the daily work of Transfer Administrators for quality. You will monitor Client Solutions tasks ensuring issues are prioritized and resolved effectively. You will maintain Account Transfers procedures manuals. You will collaborate with peers, employees and other department heads and administrators to identify and implement processing and procedural improvements. You will assess training needs within the team and collaborate with the Manager, Corporate Training to design and deliver employee training. You will communicate strategic objectives to the team, and implement processes and procedures designed to meet identified objectives. You will coach and develop Transfer Administrators/Associates. You will provide employees with regular informal and formal performance feedback. You will be responsible for staff scheduling to include: work assignments/rotations, employee training, employee vacations, employee breaks, overtime assignment, back-up for absent employees, and shift rotations. You will process cheques, stocks, and funds in and out of the system. You will regularly follow up and thoroughly reconcile all account transfers. You will ensure departmental procedures are complied with. You will develop and maintain strong and productive relationships with internal and external clients. You will work collaboratively with the team keeping team leadership informed of developments. You will respond to all client emails within 24 hours in the same language as it was received. You will transfer Control accounts reconciliation. You will perform any other duties as required and/or assigned. You will champion Questrade’s Mission, Vision and Values.

✔ Are a College or University graduate or equivalent, preferably in administration and/or finance
✔ Have 3-5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in the financial services industry
✔ Have Canadian financial and/or brokerage knowledge
✔ Have knowledge using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
✔ Have experience with ATON and non-ATON account transfers
✔ Have experience with Mutual fund transactions
✔ Have proven analytical and reconciliation skills and experience
✔ Have excellent communication and leadership skills
✔ Have a positive attitude and strong client orientation
✔ Have strong organizational and multi-tasking capabilities
✔ Have the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment

✔ Knowledge using Broadridge BPS
✔ Completed CSC, CPH, or other related courses
✔ Basic Accounting experience
