Qvella Corporation Looking for Supply Chain Assistant at Ontario Full Time

An exciting opportunity for Supply Chain Assistant. This is a six-month contract position opportunity with Qvella Corporation located in Richmond Hill, Ontario. 

Nature and Scope of Work:

This role is very diverse and requires an individual who can easily multi-task, has a high degree of attention to detail and is an experienced user of computer systems including Microsoft programs such as Outlook, excel, as well as ERP systems. The Supply Chain assistant will provide support to both the Senior Buyer and Senior Planner with purchasing requests and inventory management. The ideal candidate can be a college/university graduate with experience in the supply chain field. It would be essential for them to have Microsoft Word and Excel experience. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily:

• Sourcing potential suppliers as needed

• Assist with monitoring status of purchase orders requests

• Assist with creating, monitor and expediting purchase orders

• Assist the Senior Buyer & Planner with inventory & non inventory materials used on a regular basis

• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word & Access

• Buying/Planning experience is an asset

• Impeccable attention to detail

• Ability to work well with a team

• Work well in a small team and be able to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines

• Good verbal and written communication skills in English

Education:

• Currently enrolled or recently graduated from a post-secondary education studies in a related field

The candidate will be asked to provide Qvella with proof of full vaccination, prior to their employment start date. Acceptable proof is a Ministry of Health Dose Administration Receipt.  This can be obtained through the Provincial portal at https://covid19.ontariohealth.ca/.   We will also accept out of province vaccination records, provided they have the same information included in the Ministry of Health Dose Administration Receipt.  This includes the type of vaccine, date of each dose and sufficient identification information to connect the receipt to the candidate. 

The requirement to be fully vaccinated is subject to the Ontario Human Rights Code. If the candidate is unable to vaccinate for a reason protected by the Code, a request for accommodation can be made upon written proof, satisfactory to the company.
