REL offers a fast pace, inclusive and progressive working environment, and is currently seeking a Construction Controls Labourer, within the Cobourg Area for a fixed term with the possibility of extension. As a Construction Controls Labourer, you will be a key member on of the installation team, aiding the team with installations, terminations, and running/pulling wire.

Location of Work: Cobourg, Ontario. 

Type of work: REL Controls Inc.’s hour of operation is from 7:30 am – 4:00 pm. Depending on the client’s requests, the facility’s hours of operation, or any other accommodations the hours may vary do to the service industry.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading construction materials and moving them to work areas
• Clean up worksites form hazardous or obsolete material
• Use of power tools and machinery when needed
• Follow instructions from supervisors to perform tasks
• Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions
• Assist in installation and termination control devices.
• Running/pulling wire for control devices as per shop drawings.
• Understand and comply with the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act as well as the company’s safety regulations
• Punctual and reliable: ability to be on site at the start time and read to work
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Demonstrate commitment to excellent in customer service.

Qualifications

• One or more years of experience in construction is an asset
• Knowledge of building automation systems is considered an asset 
• Valid Working at heights certificate
• Valid Workplace Hazardous Material Information System (WHMIS)
• Excellent communication skills
