Radical Bookshop and Press Looking for Marketing Communications Manager at Canada Full Time

THIS ROLE IS VOLUNTEER ONLY FOR APRIL AND SEPTEMBER.

Radical Bookshop and Press is seeking a volunteer Marketing Communications Manager to help promote our authors and assist with book launches. The Marketing Communications Manager is a key position and advertises our call for submissions periods, handles social media book promotions, ensures authors are tagged in posts, and helps market books through social media, press releases, and influencer campaigns.

Where possible, this role may conduct author interviews for our newsletter, as well as create content including videos, reels, social posts according to our existing brand material.

Responsibilities

• Lead our author promotion activities
• Connect with audiences and build interest in our book titles
• Create and implement compelling written and visual content
• Assist with book launch events

Qualifications

• Relevant education or work experience in Public Relations, Marketing or Communication
• Strong written and oral skills
• Experience using Canva and social media tools is an asset
• An interest in hosting virtual events is an asset

Compensation

Please note these are volunteer positions and would only operate during open submission periods. There is no compensation at this time. In 2024, our volunteer commitment periods will run from April 1 – 30, and September 1 – 30, 2024.

Interviews

Interviews will be conducted in February 2024 via Zoom. Questions will be provided in advance.
