Security Engineer radient360 – St. John’s, NL

radient360 is looking for a Security Engineer with a proven track record. You will be pivotal in leading the company’s cybersecurity efforts and working side-by-side with our Software Development and DevOps teams to ensure a secure and reliable SaaS product.

Responsibilities:
- Lead the company’s efforts in compliance with cybersecurity standards and certifications.
- Maintain, update, and enforce the company’s security policies and other security related documentation.
- Schedule and manage the company’s cybersecurity training.
- Help manage annual penetration testing and other regular vulnerability scans.
- Monitor logs and metrics for suspicious activity.
- Stay up to date with the latest cybersecurity threats and alerts.
- Track vulnerabilities in 3rd party software and dependency libraries.
- Ensure that our cloud-based infrastructure as well as employee devices have the latest security updates.
- Participate in on-call rotation to triage and address production issues.
- Participate in development of operational procedures.
Qualifications:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience installing, configuring, and administering Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of infrastructure and networking security concepts.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Javascript, Bash, and Python.
- Familiarity with operational processes such as ticket management, incident management, change management, and disaster recovery.
Assets:
- Knowledge of security frameworks such as SOC 2 and/or ISO: 27001.
- Experience with vulnerability tracking tools such as Snyk.
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools (e.g.
Ansible, Terraform).
- Experience with container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes).
- Experience writing technical documentation.
