Location: Remote – Candidates must be based in Canada in order to be considered.

Type: Full-Time Exempt Position, Monday – Friday; 40 hr/week; No Overtime

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Settlement Specialist to join our Finance team at Real. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing and verifying closing transactions for accuracy, settling transactions, and routing outgoing payments to the Finance team. This role requires familiarity with the Real Estate Transaction process in Canada, attention to detail, and basic accounting skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Work remotely and within virtual real estate transaction management platforms
• Organize, balance commission documents for all provinces Real is conducting business in
• Check all back-office systems accuracy of file information
• Retrieve documents from lawyers, outside brokers, and agents timely
• Assist Agents with payment processing management platform and commission disbursement questions
• Assist accounting with reconciling TRSs and settlement documents ensuring outstanding agent experience
• Communicate and answer Agent questions in a timely manner
• Such other duties as may be assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Processes and technology-minded with a focus on the Real Estate Transaction workflow
• Thorough knowledge of Google Suite
• Ability to learn new software and adapt to updates
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Intermediate accounting knowledge/math skills
• Conveyancing and Agent payment experience
• Ability to make quick decisions and problem-solve
• Servant leadership minded with a focus on providing excellent service

Education and Experience:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• 3+ years of relevant experience in the Real Estate Transaction process
