What you will do
RealTerm Energy is looking for a Human Resources Advisor to join their client-focused, high-performing team in Downtown Montreal.
As this is an individual contributor role in a department of one, our ideal candidate is a self-starter able to manage all aspects of HR including the following:
Full-cycle recruitment:
- Work with managers to determine needs, develop job descriptions, posting on different job-boards, pre-screening, sourcing, etc.
- Draft employment offers
Employee On & Off Boarding:
- HR Orientation with employee on their first day
- Tax + benefits paperwork, HRIS entries
- Organize the hardware
- Draft termination letters as needed
Benefits Management:
- Enroll employees on benefits (medical, dental, LTD, life, AD&D)
- Interface with benefit providers in both Canada and the US
- Answer employee questions/concerns
Canadian & American Payroll:
- Process the full-cycle payroll (new hires, terminations, changes)
- Complete ROEs
- Complete T4s and RL1, and W2
Employee Engagement:
- Send employee engagement surveys quarterly
- Implement programs that address areas of concerns
What you will need to be successful
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline.
- 3 years of relevant experience in Human Resources
- Perfectly Bilingual – English and French (written and spoken)
- Maturity and demonstrated professionalism with a proven ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information
- Knowledge of all relevant legislation and recruitment practices
- Strong time management and organization skills; exceptional attention to detail
- Adaptable, flexible and open to new challenges
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enjoys collaborative approach with a positive and supportive attitude
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a time sensitive, fast-paced and often demanding environment
- Self-starter, enthusiastic, willing to learn and enjoys working in a team environment
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
