Administrative Assistant – Bilingual (Remote role)

We are currently looking for an Administrative Assistant for one of our clients in the insurance industry.

Responsibilities:

• Supporting Disability Case Managers and Vocational Rehabilitation Counsellors on a variety of tasks and liaison for plan members; schools/colleges; and other stakeholders.
• Managing new claim set up.
• Providing front line customer service by telephone and email.
• Accountability for administrative duties and follow ups with claimants for outstanding information.

What you will need to succeed:

• Post secondary education.
• 2+ years previous experience in an administrative/clerical role.
• Strong customer service experience in a demanding environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and/or insurance terminology/concepts.
• Knowledge of the Canadian Armed Forces terminology, processes and concepts.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Web Based applications.
• Solid office administration skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
• Ability to display empathy with customers.
• Ability to handle difficult callers with professionalism.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Analytical skills with a close attention to detail.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Deadline driven.
