Job Summary: As a Construction Administrator located in Calgary, Alberta, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our exceptional projects by working closely with our seasoned Project Management Team to assist in their day-to-day operations. Key Responsibilities:

Purchase Order Management:

• Create and manage purchase orders (PO’s) for construction materials and services, ensuring cost-effectiveness and compliance with procurement policies.

Data Entry and Spreadsheet Management:

• Accurately input project-related data into Excel spreadsheets, aiding in project progress tracking and budget management.

Change Order Processing:

• Prepare and send change orders to clients and subcontractors (client names are confidential).
• Maintain detailed records to track their impact on the project.

Internal Task Coordination:

• Collaborate with project teams, ensuring streamlined information flow and supporting project managers effectively.

Warrant Requests:

• Efficiently manage and process warrant requests while keeping detailed records for completed projects.

Client Communication:

• Act as the primary point of contact for clients offering timely updates and addressing inquiries to enhance their satisfaction.

Bid Process Involvement:

• Assist in creating bid packages and documentation, contributing to our competitive edge in the industry.
• Involved in the selection/class 2 process up to “Turnover” to the Project Manager after entering items in CoConstruct.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years’ industry experience, preferably in new home construction, with exposure to both office and field operations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to take meeting minutes.
• Advanced computer skills (i.e.: Microsoft Office) with the ability to learn internal systems.
• Experience in reading drawings, schedules, and specifications.
• Quick learner and able to work with minimal supervision.
• High accuracy in all aspects of work.
• Ability to identify client selections and verify quotes.
• Mirroring quote details to the online platform (CoConstruct), breaking down fine details and associated costs.
• General construction knowledge and blueprint exposure.
• Knowledge of construction procurement processes is advantageous.
• Experience in change order processing.
• Experience in bid process involvement.
